ABOUT THE GATHERING

Tango Embrace Slovenia is a warm and intimate tango gathering where everything happens in one place — dance, rest, connection, and wellbeing.

Set in the elegant Grand Hotel Rogaška Slatina, this weekend invites you into a world where tango naturally blends with comfort, beauty, and stillness. A place where you can arrive, slow down, and simply stay — without ever needing to leave the embrace of the experience.

Between milongas, or in the quiet hours of the morning, you can relax in the hotel spa, enjoy the thermal pools, breathe deeply, and let your body soften. Here, tango is not separated from life — it flows through it.

This is a space where the embrace comes first, where music is felt rather than performed, and where every tanda becomes a quiet conversation between two people. Nothing is rushed. Everything is allowed to unfold.

We gather not only to dance, but to connect — to be present, to rest, to listen, and to share moments that are simple, real, and meaningful.

A gentle weekend of tango, wellness, and connection — where time slows down, and what remains are warmth, presence, and the feeling of being exactly where you are meant to be.

This gathering is for dancers who value close embrace, presence, and connection over performance.

For those who enjoy calm energy, respectful social dance, and the beauty of shared silence between movements.

PARTICIPATION

Limited to ~180 dancers for an intimate atmosphere
Balanced leader /follower roles.

Priority is given to:
• Couples
• Hotel guests (booking via event code only)
• Experienced dancers

Single followers are placed on a waiting list unless registering with a leader.

Lilijana is a warm and experienced tango DJ whose deep love for the music brings joy, connection, and a vibrant atmosphere to the dance floor.
With over 16 years of DJing across Europe, she is known for her sensitivity to the dancers and her ability to create a natural, uplifting flow.
Her style is lively, heartfelt, and spontaneous, rooted in the richness of Golden Age tango and her diverse cultural background.
She gently guides the final moments of the milonga with care and emotion, leaving dancers with a lasting sense of warmth and connection.

UROŠ (SLO)

Uroš is a passionate tango DJ whose energy and dedication to music and dance create a warm, engaging atmosphere on the floor.
Rooted in the Golden Age, his musical selections blend rhythm and emotion, always tuned to the mood of the dancers.
With a strong sense of connection and flow, he crafts tandas that inspire presence, joy, and a full range of emotions.
His vibrant cortinas and thoughtful sets set the perfect tone for a lively and memorable start to the weekend.

JAE YOUN (USA)

Jae Youn is an internationally experienced tango DJ known for her deep musical sensitivity and strong connection to the energy of the dance floor.
Rooted in the tradition of the great Golden Age orchestras, her selections reflect elegance, depth, and a true respect for tango.
With an attentive and dynamic approach, she shapes each set in response to the dancers, creating a vibrant and evolving flow.

TOMAŽ (SLO)

Tomaž is a long-time tango dancer and DJ whose joyful energy and deep connection to the music bring warmth and life to every milonga.
Attentive to the dance floor, he creates a natural flow that keeps dancers engaged and present until the very last tanda.
Inspired by the Golden Age, his sets blend rhythmic intensity with smooth, heartfelt melodies that encourage connection and joy.

BARBARA (IT)

Barbara is a tango DJ and dancer whose warm presence and musical sensitivity create a welcoming and elegant atmosphere on the dance floor.

Filippo Giacomelli is a passionate and energetic tango DJ from Italy, known for his dynamic sets that keep the dance floor alive from the first tanda to the last embrace.
A well-established TDJ across Europe, he brings a powerful musical drive rooted in the Golden Age, with a special love for vocal tangos and strong rhythmic orchestras.
His carefully crafted tandas, combined with thoughtful cortinas, create a continuous and engaging flow that naturally invites dancers to stay in motion and connection.
With his vibrant style and signature energy, Filippo builds an irresistible atmosphere where the joy of dancing never stops.

MILOŠ (SRB)

Miloš brings more than a decade of tango experience. He is not only a wonderful teacher and an unforgettable dancer, but also a warm and kind person, and our dear friend.
During the event, you can spend your free time enjoying a walk, a coffee, or relaxing at the spa — or choose to deepen your dance in small group workshops (on Saturday and Sunday morning) with an exceptional teacher.
Private lessons with him will also be available.
